In March of this year, Charmel was led to launch the Yarning for Hope Project in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Through Yarning for Hope, Charmel is working to boost the morale of the community-at-large by creating and installing original fabric art in public spaces.

This fall, in an effort to encourage her fellow citizens to vote, Charmel decided to crochet VOTE art pieces and install them throughout the historic downtown area of her hometown Shreveport, Louisiana.
